      Wouldn’t it have been great if Ireland could do this without waiting on the EU rules.

      It won’t be popular here, but my favourite part of that article is below, near impossible for middle class. Too much for social housing and too little to deal with cash rich buyers

      Ah I can easily see our lot gladly taking fines each year for not reaching any European mandate on housing citing incompetence. It’s not their money after all

      The European banks will fail stress tests and bring down the euro,if they intervene to any meaningful level and house prices fall

      They’ve built an impossible system that can’t last…id prefer no euro and affordable houses,than vice versa
