      Half the post production of films and Netflix etc happens outside the USA these days

      An average film takes 1.5-2 years to complete, from inception to delivery.

      None of the ones in progress can change at this point, and the ones starting will take one look at this and schedule the *airing* of the film for „… shortly after the presidency changes hands.“

      And in the meantime all of Hollywood will be even more against Trump, if that’s possible.

      anyway, tough for the new Spider-Man, currently that had scenes shot in Glasgow. Among other Hollywood movies that want to shoot scenes somewhere other than the fucking USA lol 😀

      How does this even work in the streaming era? Or, at all really? Where is a movie made when scenes can be shot and effects can be outsourced all over the world?

      I hope this leads to a Renaissance of European filmmaking somehow, but I think we’ll be stuck with American movies for the foreseeable future.

      Yes, I know there’s European films, but I’m referring to the big budget blockbuster stuff.

      One of the cases where the world’s reaction would hurt the USA far more than the other way around, because the USA is the most major beneficiary of the world trade system.

      But the EU is probably not going to respond to this because it seems our politicians are bought by the USA.

      Price all movies at 1 euro. The way it works anyway, is that you get royalties on ticket revenue (until rights get sold for TV, etc) so I don’t see how they collect anything from this
