Well he already lost 1 million soldiers, just another wave to die or being critical injured on the front for a few meters of unstable land control.

Strange, I thought Putin said this 2 week smo only requires a bunch of professional soldiers and no additional conscription is necessary.

intensifying the situation with this many soldiers, its hard to ignore the potential ripple effects across europe and beyond

This is the Autumn round of Russian conscription, they do the same in Spring. Conscripts serve for 12 months and are then dismissed if they are not recruited into active service (=meat grinder).

    5. This shit again. Its not for Ukraine. It just yearly draft. But these guys DO get pushed into signing contract. Wonder how many are stupid enough to do it.

    6. So what happens after your conscription? Do you they make you join the active service?

    7. AlgaKyrgyzstan on

It is annual conscription, not mobilization. They fight on territory of Russia only. But it is reported they often under pressure to sign a contract with the military of defence and go to Ukraine.

    8. Why doesn’t Putin send himself and his family since he wants this pointless war so badly? Fuck Putin and every single one of his enablers.

Note this is the normal conscription cycle this particular one happens every year. Most of these will make up the bulk of the border and rear forces

Putin wont send kids from Moscow or st Petersburg anywhere near the front (or at least not on purpose)

    10. I think Europe should start to see that we are at war with Ruzzia and start to properly support Ukraine.

    11. Fucks sake. Russia could be great, it could be a fucking powerhouse of potential and strong, great people.

Putin could have genuinely been a leader that brought huge prosperity to Russian citizens.

But no. He’s just condemning millions to death. He’s destroying everything because he’s getting old and weak and desperately wants to be remembered for Imperial expansionism.

It’s already a tragedy, it’s already criminal, and now he’s going to push everything over the edge.

      What a fucking waste.

    12. Russian here.

There is absolutely zero news in this article. In fact, it would be more noteworthy if Putin hadn’t signed it.

This is a standard yearly conscription round, where people aged 18 to 30 undergo a year of conscript military training. Conscripts don’t go to the frontlines, they do their year and are dismissed afterwards.

Well at least the likelihood of criminal officers and nepotism is dropping.

    14. Hope they recrute all the Russian war bloggers and war jounalists, the ones who worship the war.

The reality is that alongside this is basically glorified training, the Russians do not have supply capabilities until 2028 at the earliest, and a lot of security analysts think they won’t be ready with on-going production to support another invasion until 2030.

Now keep in mind that in that timeframe two things are gonna happen:

      – Russian foreign reserves will be depleted, and they will need to start making harsh funding cuts to meet the expenditures starting from late next year.
      – The EU’s own military rearming would have come along at an even faster rate.

You think breaking through lines in Ukraine is hard, wait until the EU can support the Baltics and Finland, who are also very, very difficult to breakdown as well.

This has gone very badly for Ukraine, but even worse so for Putin, who now has time and money against him. He needs political reinforcements in France, Germany and the UK (Farage, Le Pen/Bardela, AFD), but he’s going to have to wait a long while for them to come.

In the past, the Kings were on the front line. Since they chickened out, only cannon fodder dies in these idiotic wars.

    18. Your units replenishment bar is slowing down, Vlad. There will be time when it won’t move from zero!

    19. Suspicious_Place1270 on

This is how the end begins

every day, about 1000 soldiers of russia are incapacitated. This will only be enough for maybe 120 days.
