She hasn’t grown a conscience or any sort of moral clarity, but I do notice that this MTG is much more reluctant to carry water for Team Trump than the MTG of previous years. She really does seem like she is on a quest for vengeance from getting snubbed out of any position in the administration. Honestly? I can’t blame her. No one knows all of the inner mechanical workings of all the politics involved, but it seems pretty reasonable to think that Trump strung her along and told her that she’d be in line for a cabinet role or something equivalent if she played her role correctly, and after the election, he screwed her over instead.

Epstein referred to himself as Trump’s best friend and they have a long, long history together. The fact that tens of millions of Americans were gullible enough to believe Trump would get justice for the Epstein victims will forever remain one of the most shameful facts in American history. You literally picked the guy least likely to do it in the entire fucking world.

The selfish harpy that racked up tens of thousands of dollars in fines for refusing to wear a mask during Covid and refusing to go through metal detectors and getting banned from various social medias for threats of violence suddenly did not have a change of heart. She only cares about herself, and this is personal. She was a Qanon believer, she said school shootings were false flag operations, she called for executions of political opponents, she wants the US to turn into a theocratic ethnostate, she is the worst of the worst and let’s not kid ourselves. Something happened to her or she wouldn’t be doing this.

She has a nasty habit of taking a hard line and then making a deal (like a committee chair position) that benefits her personally.
I would be genuinely happy if she follows through, but with her ilk it is only a matter of time before she falls into line with a payoff.
As much as I can’t stand this woman, I do respect her stance on the Epstein files. She is holding her ground against what must be enormous amount of pressure for someone that used to be in high favor with our Dear Leader.
When someone’s doing the right thing, we shouldn’t discourage them.
Why isn’t the fact that the White House is openly trying to stop the release of the Epstein Files not being talked about on every news channel or on the front page of every newspaper? It’s so brazen, yet I feel like the media is once again just shrugging and giving Trump a pass. I couldn’t imagine what would be going on in Biden was in this role.
