Hallo zusammen,

Žička Kartuzija, Celje… not sure, honestly. I’m sure you can ask the reception?
Maybe this: https://www.stolp-kristal.si/en/
First I must say that the Kozjansko region, in which Olimje is located, has always fascinated me because of its landscape and cultural heritage. The whole area is a regional park (https://kozjanski-park.si/), it has a beautiful landscape where high pre-alpine hills transform into the low pannonian rolling hills. The park is particularly famous for cultivating traditional ecological agriculture, especially in old growth apple orchards. The area itself is full of interesting cultural hertiage also. For example, near Olimje you have the monastery/castle of the same name, with the oldest pharmacy still operating in Slovenia. The monks also sell their products. Then you have castle Podsreda, which is one of the most beautiful romanic castles in Slovenia. Castle Podčetrtek is just undergoing a renovation. while the castle in Bizeljsko is still unrenovated, but it hosts a wine cellar. Nearby you have also the Svete Gore pilgrimage complex, with one large church and several smaller chapels, some of them very old, even pre-romanic. The chapel of st. George has a weird but famous unexplained stone relief on the facade, which kind of reminds of an alien. Then if you are willing to drive further you have plenty of places to visit. Celje for example is the fourth largest town in Slovenia, with many interesting roman remains and a nice preserved medieval historic town core – on a hill above it stands the biggest castle ruin in Slovenia. Velenje is post-war mining town, with a mining museum inside the mine itself – pretty interesting to visit if you’re interested in technical and industrial heritage. If you travel south you have the town of Brežice, again with a beautiful castle, with the regional museum and probably one of the finest examples of completely painted knightly hall in Slovenia. Further south you have the monastery at Kostanjevica na Krki, which is a modern art museum, with one of the finest collections of Slovene painting and sculpture form the first half of the 20th century. All those things are probably within one hour drive from Olimje, more or less.
If you wish to drive further, I could go on for a very long time.
The new viewing tower in Rogarška Slatina or Podčetrtek castle? Check opening times before you go. And I definitely recommend Žicka Carthusia as well if you like quiet and serene places. It has a nice energy.
The staples in that area are the Olimje monastery, chocolate house, deer ridge (Jelenov greben) also the witch hut (Koča pri čarovnici). All is close together so it could probably be visited on foot even.
