Doesn’t matter to Reform Voters, they’ll vote anyway.
He talks of stripping back benefits, SEND, the NHS- his base are the ones most impacted by his policies. Yet they vote for him because it means ‘the other guy’ will have less.
This is the death of empathy and the end of ‘rising by lifting us all’
Because that’s what their US Christian far right backers require.

Brilliant. Abortion is the biggest killer of human beings in the world right now. Feel terrible for all the fathers who have their child taken away from them without having any say.
The 24 week limit in the UK is far longer than in other Western countries. France is 14, Germany 12, Spain 14, etc.
12 is typical in the EU. If abortion were less politicised we would almost certainly have moved to be more in line with our neighbours, and more in line with advancements in preterm care. 24 weeks is a very, very viable human being in 2025.
Voters conveniently ignoring all that because Reform are tough on migration and want to keep the status quo of a country screwing us over
There’s simply no constituency for abortion bans in the UK. It’s not ideal that Reform are tapping into this, basically doing so to take advantage of a small electoral boost and some money from abroad, but there’s very little reason to worry that this will become an actual issue in British politics, because we just don’t have the religiosity required to care deeply about abortions.

Oooh great. That good ol‘ American – and deeply Christian – principle of „we care so deeply about unborn children that we want to ban abortion, but once the child is actually born, we no longer care to ensure its wellbeing through e.g. functioning welfare / healthcare / childcare infrastructure / flexible employment policies for families, etc., etc.

2. All farage has said (which he was saying over a decade ago) was that we should look at brining down the limit. A hardly extreme belief seeing as babies can now live from 22 weeks with medical intervention and pretty much every European country cuts off at 12 weeks

The fact that in 2025 we have an electoral system that allows people to just slip foreign parties‘ interests into a broader policy offering is fucking mental. Our electoral system is really poor.
