      „Medbed“ is a pseudoscienctific conspiracy theory, promoted primarily within far-right and QAnon conspiracy circles. Adherents believe these are secret beds, developed by the military (or with alien technology), that can cure all diseases, regenerate lost limbs, and reverse the aging process in minutes.

      This is actually both infuriating and sad. I’ve followed QAnon and adjacent right wing conspiracies for years, and there are people who genuinely believe the medbed technology exists and will cure their terminal cancer and other illnesses. They’ve convinced themselves that left wing billionaires have been covering it up, and Trump will release the technology and cure people and even reverse aging. The fact that he shared an obvious deepfake video either means he’s knowingly pandering to those folks, or is just so terminally online that he’s become disconnected from reality.

      FTA- MedBeds conspiracies date back to 2022 and are shared among far-right communities online. The beds can theoretically cure all disease and de-age people, and some even claim they can regrow limbs.

      So why does Trump look like a buffalo hide that was soaked in vinegar and left in the elements for 30 years?

      Trump doesn’t say things because he thinks they are true. He says things to get things.

      Trump doesn’t believe in reality. He believes only in what he can make people believe.

      Everything true or real is a rival system to Trump. And he brings the full force of the richest nation in the world against the very idea of truth. This is now our national sickness.

      His worshipers who believe this scam will worship harder. Even after they have lost all of their money? Especially after they have lost all of their money.

      His worshipers who understand reality better will be required by MAGA programming to *try* to believe. Those who cannot will ignore this to force the sin of doubt from their minds.

      This also controls media. Journalists reporting this will waste their precious, finite resources and audience attention reporting this rather than important, real events.

      It’s an odd move to post an AI video of himself saying something instead of saying it himself. But it gives his worshipers a way to forgive him when some part of their brains understand they have wasted their life savings on a scam. They will tell themselves Trump didn’t actually say this himself. So the scam isn’t really his fault. Even though he chose to promote it on his own account and it features his image promoting this scam.

      And it’s possible that Trump has been paid by the scammers.

      If this were real then why does cancer still exist? Would this not be the cure to cancer? I know people on Facebook are gullible and will fall for anything, but you’d have to be a real moron to think this technology exists right now.

      If this technology DID exist, charging for it, or withholding it from the public at all, would be next level evil.
