This was implemented in Australia awhile ago. I still don’t have a digital id and I manage just fine.
Sure there are downsides, same with not getting the covid vaccine but with that said, I don’t have either and I don’t regret either decision.
It would be a lot easier to monitor people with this digital ID system if they ever decide to make a run at Covid 2.0.
I’ve ditched my smartphone. I’ve just got a burner now. I would recommend people do the same
I’ve not come across anything I need to Google on the fly – it waits until I get home and put my laptop on. Not being joined at the hip to social media has been brilliant. And I only have to charge it twice a week

It’s not impossible, I spent 5 years working cash in hand on building sites, paid weekly, and I’m not a illegal alien. The only question I was asked was can I carry bricks and push a wheelbarrow, it’s more difficult than what it was but it’s not impossible.
If you want cash in hand money look into your local trades, builders, scaffolders, plumbers, I can’t comment on delivery companies like Uber Eats or deliveroo but in the trades game it’s still common practice.

it is much easier to obscure proper vetting and procedures making an „illegal“ suddenly „legal“ by doing it „digitally“ this would be the only way that provides no proper paper trail for physical accountability to the innocent OR guilty of the many potential transactions that could be perpetrated.
