I have been staying at this small house in the Atacama Desert of Chile on an astronomical retreat. Every night, the Milky Way shines directly overhead, so bright under the dark skies that it casts shadows. I photographed this panorama close to midnight when the galaxy was setting directly behind the house in the west. Photographed with a Sony A7iii camera (astromodded) with a 24mm GM lens.
