Correct me if i am wrong, but i remember reading in the early days of the war that Mossad knew vaguely that something is coming, but because Hamas only talked about the specifics mouth to mouth and kept the exact date of the attack a secret that only few top guys knew – no one outside could possibly know enough to prevent it.
Hamas was smart enough to not talk about it on their phones.
