That’s the only positive thing I’ve seen him do since being King, I still forget that we’ve even got a king in all honesty
I’m ambivalent towards the monarchy in general, but this certainly was a positive read. It’s undeniable to notice Trump’s apparent 180 directly after the state visit, and good to see the royals having an appreciable impact on foreign relations/geopolitics.
I’ve always been anti-monarchy and largely still am – but if this is seen by history as the pivot point that eventually stops that war then, frankly, this generation of royals have earnt their keep. Pass the republican torch to the next generation.
Trump will change his opinion as soon as someone else tells him he should. He is profoundy stupid and very easy to manipulate.
Until Trump gets flattered by the next head of state or Royal that he comes across, and gets his head turned in whatever direction that person wants.
