Crazy that this isn’t a re-report but is actually a third distinct investigation this year into Cranswick that shows illegal treatment and abuse of these poor animals.

At what point do criminal charges apply to the management at Cranswick that continuously allows for this to happen under their watch?

I guess you’ve got to be a certain type of person to work in an abattoir, but it really does seem like a career path that attracts the unhinged.

    3. Farm was also Red Tractor certified which of course means absolutely nothing.

Whole thing is just a satire of the modern British economy. Lots of compliance and regulations that are just window dressing and do nothing except create regulatory titled jobs . The only jobs being created are PR folk writing press releases and feigning shock at something they all knew was happening all along. Oh and some shit around AI CCTV.

Meanwhile in a few months all these farms go back to their usual practices when the public attention dies down because people still want their pork and bacon.

Do we think this is correlation or causation? Are you more likely to work in an Abattoir of you are a bit of a psycho, or does the work itself strip away some of your decency?

Either way, it seems to happen a lot and that’s only what is getting reported…

Do people still think that animal agriculture treats animals well? When your profit is based off harming animals, farms do the bare minimum to treat animals as sentient beings that feel pain.

    6. Man I hate myself for eating meat. I try to stop and always fall back into it. Occasionally as I’m eating a meal I just feel so guilty.

I don’t eat pork but I do eat organic chicken but now I’m thinking I need to be vegan except at Christmas because this is sickening to the core and makes me question my own morality as a meat eater!

Who cares? Maybe it tastes better. Fuck now i wanna cook some pork belly.

    9. Thank god they nipped that one in the bud! Now we can continue to consume the flesh of sentient beings safe in the knowledge that they’re having a ball about it…wait…wait this is happening elsewhere too?!?!

The only way to stop this is to frankly stop eating meat. There’s no cruelty free way of producing meat particularly at the prices consumers want or will accept. The sooner that vat grown meat is a thing, the better.
