seeing svp agree with this is surely a rare sight.
She is spot on.
Pharma is stating that our drug prices are to low, yet they make massive profits and pay out luxurious salaries.
Reminds me of the UBS situation. After two massive bailouts, we can’t get them to do business a bit safer, without them threatening to leave.
Apparently using even just any negotiation leverage against large corporations is a massive problem for them, even though they make bank. They have no loyalty or goodwill.
The cure for high prices is higher prices!
Except when we are forced to pay them…. Then the market is rigged and we are in fact using Middle Ages economic devices.
This is just fucking stupid. On course they are. That is their job, their responsibility towards their shareholders. Has everyone gone completely mad? Who is working for free?
But svp is backed by the pharma lobby
From a discussion with my swiss colleague: „in Italy you have mafia. Here we have insurance and healthcare. But at least you can arrest mafioso“.
