My bloody dogs retrieve them and then keep them captive till morning.

We open the back door and they’re lying down keeping the hedgehog from escaping.

Mind you, once let go those little guys can *shift*.

They come to our backdoor to eat the cat food fairly regularly. The cat just watches.

I live in London and one hot night I’d left the door open – was woken up by bemused cats telling me there was something in the kitchen. You’ve guessed it – a hedgehog! Strange this is my kitchen is on the first floor (along hallway, round a corner and up a flight of stairs)- either the cats told him where to find the food or he has one hell of a powerful sense of smell ❤️

I get them in the garden. One fell in the drain and died. I bought a new cover the next day

I’ve lived here nearly 30 years now and I’ve never seen one, back home in Wales I’d see them all the time. Although I did see my first Badger the other night up around Citywest.

    6. As a very stupid child who wanted to be Snow White for the night, i took a hedgehog i found in the garden and brought it with me to bed on the top bunk with my older sister sleeping on the bottom. The hedgehog had large fleas and you could imagine what was going on there. My mother kept us from school until it was sorted out, she or my sister weren’t too happy with me about that as you could imagine. I was a very stupid kid. I think about this often and apologise to my sister still as it was just so fucked.

    7. I saw a pheasant while on a drive, flew over it, thought he was a chicken until I saw his head pop up
