In the last 50 years or so:
* the share of House Republicans who had attended ‚elite‘ universities decreased from about 40% to about 15%.
* the share of Senate Republicans who did so decreased from about 55% to about 35%.
During the 2021-2022 Congress:
* about 40% of House Democrats and about 50% of Senate Democrats had done so.
