      So calling for peaceful protests are now trying to overthrow the government and should have the person hung huh? However jan 6 when they actually tried to violently overthrow the government, they should get pardons and money for the inconvience of being arrested.

      Seriously, there is no mask here. This is the new norm for them. Republicans keep calling for the deaths of their opponents and vulnerable groups in this country.

      Even the out-of-context version is extremely tame. Being „strike-ready“, or „street-ready“, is not a call to violence to overthrow the government. It’s just literally executing your 1A right to assembly and petition.

      But then again, the GOP is full of some of the most disingenuous fuckers on the planet, so it’s not surprising that they’ll do this shit while turning around and screaming about the 2A whenever a Democrat is president.

      So this was started when someone literally fabricated her quote to appear as though she was talking about starting a civil war? Anyone else wonder whether this is part of some sort of foreign misinformation campaign? 

      It could just be a troll, but there are a lot of governments with bot farms who are eating this division of our country up with a spoon.

      Governor Hobbs should require Rep. Gillette read the quote in context, and issue an apology to Rep. Jayapal. If Rep Gillette refuses then ARS 13-1202 should be applied as a class 6 felony. It’s time to stop this kind of rhetoric. And this should never happen among elected officials.
