Vor fast 100 Jahren wurden Dutzende von Schiffen in einer flachen Bucht im Potomac River verlassen. Heute haben die Skelette von 147 Gefäßen, die als „Ghost Fleet of Mallows Bay“ bekannt sind – zu einer ökologischen Oase, die in wissenschaftliche Daten veröffentlichte Drohnenbilder zeigen.

      Sounds a bit like the studies which found that upturned supermarket trollies in rivers can act as breeding sites for fishes, with the young sheltering in the trolley as they grow. Similarly, oil wells have good ecology around them because they have an exclusion zone stopping fishing vessels getting too close.

    2. I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

    3. Be careful with small boats in there. Lots of spikey things to run into! Great otherwise.
