Is this some sort of negotiation tactic? Maybe a low ball offer to the Palestinians, so that whoever is suggested next seems a lot more attractive?
I can’t imagine Blair’s involvement in the Iraq war etc. makes him a popular figure in Palestine. What is his record of Palestinian statehood, anyway?
