That’s a great way to get even less tourists. Pre-clearance is the only way I would even consider visiting that place – you can’t ICE me in Canada.

So they want to punish the people who are still travelling to the U.S all because some of us don’t want to go to that shithole anymore?

It’s time for Canada to take a look at revoking this guy’s diplomatic credentials. It’s absurd to allow him to wander our country spewing anti-Canadian false information and hatred at every stop. Having him here is contributing nothing in Canada’s best interests – send him on the first bus back to Detroit.

Is he under the impression millions of Canadian individuals will now suddenly flock en masse together to the United States for a nice little pleasure visit because of a threat? Is that the logic? Man did they see how we reacted to lockdowns? We’re not especially great at getting on the same page!

Anyway, I’m not surprised by anything happening down there anymore. It’s similar as walking around the Main Street and Hastings area in Vancouver. You see a lot of weird shit, but after a while, it’s just another Thursday.

Canadian airports paid out a fuck load of money to implement this in their airports because the US insisted upon it for their own security purposes, it was never meant as a „service to Canadians“ or any of the dozens of other countries they insisted on doing this in.
If they replaced it with a pre-refusal, they could save people a lot of trouble and danger, so it sounds like a good idea to me. Plus, they’d probably save a lot of money replacing pre-clearance with an impenetrable brick wall.
