      This is not going to end good! It’s either a purge of top military leaders that are not loyal enough or they are going to attack a foreign country or put boots on the ground on American soil to go after ANTIFA = people that oppose the fascist totalitarian regimes in America that means democrats.

      My bet is that this is going to be an oath of loyalty to Trump type shit. He’s going to suggest that civil war is inevitable and they need to resign or pledge fealty to Trump.

      Hope that’s not it, but I think they want to clean house because they know that the brass largely disagrees with the fascist bullshittery going on here at home, and Trump has been pretty open about his desire to deploy the military and occupy cities he doesn’t like.

      He’s going to ask them to swear an oath of loyalty only to Trump or submit their resignation. I hope they have the understanding to do what Gen Smedley Butler did, and go along with it, collect evidence and report the findings directly to Congress.

      He needs to figure out which of the top brass are ready to put down Americans and in some cases, their own families. Sounds insane, but lots of the stuff going on now would have sounded insane just 3 months ago.

      This is definitely an “I’m in charge” meeting. You do not to a high ranking position in the military by being an idiot. He is going to tell them to stop saying mean things and he wants them all there to see him fire those who disagree.

      It’s a very very dumb idea. Of course there is no OPSEC while doing this. Every enemy we have now knows our military leadership will be in the same place all at once.

      I’m going to throw out a crazy conspiracy theory. I personally think this is most likely related to cutting military, project 2025, Venezuela, and all the other likely theories already posted. But the drone thing happening in Denmark is weird and serious – to the point where they are about to invoke article 4. The drone thing in NJ was weird. The drone thing over US military bases was weird. The balloon thing over Alaska/Canada that NORAD responded to was weird. The video released by the govt of the drone getting hit by the hellfire the other week and not getting destroyed was weird. No real explanations to any of it. Assumptions that it’s Russia or China and the United States complete inability to stop it don’t really add up.

      Part of me wonders – is there a problem? Like – are we telling the military about a new threat?

      I spent 6 years in navy culminating with our ship going to the gulf war in 1991. I have nothing but respect for military leadership. They exemplified leadership to me. They were reasonable and took care of their subordinates like family. I never felt unprepared in any way for any mission

      If this results in a restructure of reporting channels so it’s easier to limit resistance I’ll be more livid than I am now. Not only is announcing the gathering of ALL SENIOR military leadership in a specific location a security problem but why can’t we know the general topic. What part of project 2025 is this bullshit.

      I got two theories:

      1. He’s calling them in to have them verbally confirm they will still work for Trump (not the government) when the government shuts down.
      2. Netflix announced a new series, Boots, a coming-of-age series about being gay in the Marine Corps and Pete wants to find a way to fight it.

      I think it’s the Netflix show that has him doing this.
