Netanyahu left Tel Aviv on Wednesday evening to speak at the UN General Assembly and to meet with President Donald Trump.
But his flight, which would normally overfly several European countries, instead flew the length of the Mediterranean Sea and over the Strait of Gibraltar, according to flight tracking websites.
The International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu last November for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity. If Netanyahu were to overfly European countries who are members of the ICC, he could be forced to land and arrested.
Netanyahu just played the land is lava.
Italy is in the ICC, but Sardinia is not?

But why bother? He went to Hungary in april just fine, and obviously he had to go over some ICC countries
Is that really such an unusual flightpath though? I mean planes never really fly in a direct line anyways and it’s not like he avoided flying over Greece or Italy either.

Ok, so some Euro countries just recognized Palestine and hes afraid to fly over some for fear of arrest.
So really stupid question, are any of these countries supporting Israel financially in this war?

I don’t know about this map. According to Israeli newspaper Haaretz he didn’t fly over Greece, Italy and France, but did fly over the Gibraltar straits. However, afaik there is no international airspace above the Gibraltar staits. It’s all Spain, Morocco or UK airspace, isn’t it?
