Many blame the PN for failing to be a credible alternative (according to Super 1), but really, the only reason why the likes of this pig are our representatives is that people keep voting them in.
PL is in Pre-election mode…. Robert Abela needs to please as many factions within the party as possible before the campaign properly begins. Rosianne Cutajar still has a lot of support within the party and this move not only placates her directly, but a lot of ‚her people‘.
Others have already been ‚discreetly‘ handled (Chris Cardona, for example) and others will soon I imagine (Clayton Bartolo). For their supporters, who don’t believe/care that what they did was corrupt, their removal was seen as ‚weakness‘ on Robert Abela’s end, and possibly an attempt to pander to new voters who listen to PN brainrot (anything non-PL) instead of taking care of the ‚genuine Labourites‘. They see their reinstatement as fair and just, since it is only fair and just that those who take care of the Party are taken care of in return.
The system is going to remain like this for the foreseeable future unless thousands upon of thousands of people take to the street and refuse to stand by both of the two political ‚giants‘ unless they are shaken from the core and remodelled drastically.
And we all know there’s more chance of ChatGPT starting its own party and winning an election than of the above happening.
