I thought he kind of backed down. I would’ve preferred him to double down a lot harder and be a little bit more aggressive against the bureaucracy

    2. If what you did was “making light” of someone’s killing than Trump and his “conservative friends” have been making 4chan look like a bunch of toddlers just learning how to speak and saying damnit for the first time.

And he didn’t. Anyone that thinks so isn’t a critical thinker. Full stop.

Turned it off when he started thanking Ben Shapiro, Clay Travis, Ted Cruz, Mitch McConnell, Rand Paul and Candace Owens. Get outta here dude

Not a kimmel fan and havent seen the video yet but sounds like he handled it well (showing compassion but still showing he isnt backing down from trump) and realises what he said the other night was probably bad timing and not well said.
Would be good imo if he had some guests going forwards who may not have the same beliefs (e.g republicans, maybe someone like cruz) and show the american public its good to have open dialogue with those you dont agree with politically. Vice versa for any shows that are hosted by republicans.
For too long now, both sides have been demeaning the other.

He didn’t. He pointed of the absurdity of the GOP’s reaction to the killing of Kirk.

And tonight he pointed out the hypocrisy of the GOP’s reaction to Kirk’s killing.

He didn’t even comment on the killing or Kirk at all. He commented on the Maga reaction
