Dr. Mehmet Oz is backpedaling on Donald Trump’s explosive declaration that pregnant women should never use Tylenol.

The president brazenly claimed Monday that acetaminophen—the active ingredient in Tylenol—was responsible for an increase in autism among young children, and instructed pregnant women to “tough it out” and avoid the painkilling drug altogether.

    2. When even Dr. Oz distances himself, you know the claim has gone too far. Autism misinformation is dangerous and harmful to families.

    3. He’s probably thinking that if no one is born with autism there will be no one to buy his autism-curing magical elixirs.

It’s like how an unstable nucleus of an atom splits given enough time. Except instead of atoms, it’s stupidity.

It is just the most fascinating thing to watch, where these people draw the line.

Every person who ingests dihydrogen monoxide has died, but that hasn’t stopped the **Biden** government from giving it to children. Trump and RFK Jr need to address **that**

As if Dr. Oz is the last word on medical information. The US has screwed itself.

Nah. This is backtracking. People already figured out he would be the one to profit. Now he’s saving face.

dude is a snake oil salesman but he has to keep a modicum of credibility if he wants to the gravy train rolling, I was laughing my ass off when his boss couldn’t say acetaminophen

    10. GeefTheQueef on

Wasn’t he at the news conference though? Why didn’t he say anything then?

    11. As a compromise, take Tylenol PM, then your offspring will only be autistic at night.

All of Congress is most likely taking meds with Acetaminophen. IDIOTS!

Also, if vaccines **(measles, mumps, smallpox, chicken pox, flu, tuberculosis, covid, meningococcal etc. are all vaccines)** caused Autism, 98% of America would be getting treated for it. So….yeah that is not gonna work either. Vaccines don’t change your DNA/molecular structure.

Stop demonizing shit. Autism is genetic. SOMEONE in your family had it! A flu vaccine (I know we call it a ‚flu shot‘, but it is in fact A VACCINE) will not give you the TISM!

I need people to stop being stupid on purpose. It is so not cool you guys. 😭

If it was so easy to pinpoint the source of autism, can someone quickly figure out what causes cancer? /s

    14. Because it’s stupid. It’s not like they’ve been doing a decade long study trying to link autism to Tylenol. They probably just called a couple people who had autistic kids and asked if they took Tylenol while pregnant.

    15. Could have distanced himself yesterday when he was standing behind trump nodding.

Who cares what that clown thinks? The man’s a fraud and his pseudo-medical advice has likely cost countless lives.

My daughter used to take Tylenol and Motrin when she had fevers to prevent febrile seizures (genetic, btw)… she is the least autistic kid I know

Did Oz ever actually dump all his stock in iHerb which sells folinic acid, the miracle autism “cure”?

    19. There’s a glaring fundamental issue with this country and pseudoscience belief in general. An issue that a lot of people aren’t willing to say out loud….

Millions of people are quite simply, incapable of comprehending even basic concepts. Especially when it comes to science.

I used to believe it was just ignorance and that a well executed education campaign laying out the facts would change people’s minds…..I no longer believe that.

Millions of people are physiologically incapable of the level reasoning required to understand anything even remotely complex. I don’t care how pretentious that may sound. It’s time we stop pretending these people will somehow be convinced one day. They won’t because they literally aren’t able to be.

I like how RFK talked Trump into delivering that one.

When it’s too crazy for that guy, you know you’re holding a giant steaming turd.

    21. He is worried about losing his medical license for endorsement of this utter nonsense

Don’t be fooled…Oz is still a crackpot, he just doesn’t want to end up as a co-defendant when Kenvue, Inc. sues the living hell out of the Mango Moron.

Countdown until Trump says he doesn’t know Dr. Oz and thinks he’s an unqualified RINO.

Dr. Oz is a snake oil salesman and a grifter. He’s just looking for a paycheck.

    25. RynheartTheReluctant on

      This Dr Oz?

„By the way, iHerb, a company that “Dr Oz” served as a “global advisor” for and still owns a major chunk of equity in, is the largest seller of Folinic Acid in the US.

It is the non-prescription version of Leucovorin, and as of today it has rapidly sold out.

IHerb has about 30% of the US supplement sales market – and “California Gold Nutrition” is their OWN BRAND of in-house supplements.

Meaning Dr Oz, is going to make a killing from this new recommendation…“
