"Novartis zielt darauf ab, die Preislücke von Medikamenten zwischen den Vereinigten Staaten und anderen Industrieländern zu beseitigen. Der CEO der in Basel ansässigen Pharmagruppe Vas Narasimhan ist der Ansicht, dass Länder außerhalb der USA die Pflicht haben, mehr zur Innovation beizutragen, und der Ansicht, dass die Preise in der Schweiz zu niedrig sind."

For the CEO of Novartis, drug prices in Switzerland are too low.

    1. He’s totally correct.

After I pay my health insurance, I still have some money for rent left.

where the FUCK are the politicians

      yes yes I know lobbyism

Perfect timing for the yearly KVG price shock… but SVP still thinks Trump is better for their country than the EU and a great and brilliant leader…

I think the interest rates on the CEO’s loans are too low.
      He clearly can afford more.

And here we see why CEO salaries are so high: You couldn’t torture me into saying shit like that in Guantanamo.

Let’s make a deal with big pharma. They can raise the prices as much as they want as long they pay double of it as additional taxes. So they can show the US how normal their prices are.

    7. if they start raising prices, someone should petition the federal government to invalidate their patents and allow other enterprises to produce these pharmaceuticals. then we’ll see whether they still want to increase prices.

    8. Lots of uninformed comments. In Switzerland, neither Novartis, nor its CEO can decide this. Prices are regulated by BAG.

    9. If he wants more contributions to innovation, he can start by reducing his 20 million salary

    10. So are everyone’s salaries, except for top execs who get packages way beyond of what they deserve.

First, as an ex McKinsey he needs to feed the monster. 2nd, his wife is the CEO of Idorsia in Switzerland, so between them they probably couldn’t give a crap about higher prices, as long as the bonus and pay package are stable.

The prices of drugs in Switzerland are relatively low when taking income into account.

Wasn’t that a retorical reply to Trump after he asked for lower drug prices in the US?

    14. The Man wants a raise! Poverty line is approaching fast
