Hamas welcomed growing international recognition of a Palestinian state, calling the UN session a chance to push for a ceasefire, „Prisoner“ swaps, Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, and more aid.
The group accused Israel of war crimes and reaffirmed armed resistance as a „National right“ until an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital is established (Which is something Israel already agreed to plenty of times in the past but was opposed by them…).
