Having been around for a long time, I notice the near total absence of monarch butterflies, a dramatic change. Lots of people are following the advice to plant milkweed to provide butterfly sustenance—but I’ve never seen one being used. There used to be flocks throughout the summer, and now I see a single one about every two weeks.

Global warming, destruction of habitats… this will be the news from here on out.
Unfortunately nature doesn’t adhere to national boundaries either, so as the US regresses on it’s environmental initiatives (and stops studying them) you will see the impacts in Canada and Mexico as well

I only saw about 5 butterflies this entire summer here in Alberta
Growing up they were as common as lady bugs

make industrial scale ecocide equivalent to genocide and punish all executives, CEO’s and corporate shareholders for the actions of their companies…
