No, there isn’t a story. She wasn’t interesting, certainly not enough to squeeze another movie out of it.
The cinematography on this film was outstanding.
Seeing as part of what made her such a creepy character was the fact that we knew next to nothing about her, I’m not interested in learning about her origin story. This sounds like Hollywood ruining another enigma.
WEAPONS sucked. So much potential and then nothing left to the mind, the entire thing explained bit by bit, and made less and less scary as the movie went on. Old tricks, old ideas, lame characters, but def well-shot… just so much wasted potential.
This movie was a serious let down for me.

We’ll see how it turns out, but either way, I’m happy for Amy Madigan. Apparently she hadn’t been getting significant roles in quite awhile, and Weapons seems to have revitalized her career.
