During the provincial election, it was the only riding NDP came close to flipping, so this riding is something NDP should be investing more into, considering that Lisa Vezeau-Allen is likely gonna run again.
Either a severe internal rift with the party or a scandal that the party is trying to distance itself from. My armchair speculation.
Interesting considering he’s very close with Ford or at least the party hierarchy so it’ll be curious to see why he was expelled.
Must be a pretty massive rift to cause someone who’s on paper a party loyalist to his core. Or maybe it’s just a scandal that’s about to drop.
Alternatively maybe it’s got something to do with the internal Neoconservative/populist/CPC loyalist rebellion that seems to be going on quietly behind the scenes of the OPC.
