The constitutional requirements for minimum representations make MMPR hard to square. A mixed system of 4-6 member STV ridings in urban and suburban areas and ranked voting in rural ridings is the better approach.
Would love to see Canada fix its ludicrous electoral system. There are plenty of countries we can look to for examples. FPTP needs to go!
Mixed-Member Proportional is a solid system all things considered, however I do think any system can enable radicalism, and some countries with MMP are no exception.
Still better than FPTP though.
