**Edit:** And even if the suspect had been trans, that is in no way a justification for locking away an entire group of people or denying their right to use the internet. This is inexcusably dangerous talk. At the very least, Mace and Jackson need to be censured for even suggesting such actions.

We have a trans kid at the Middle School I teach at. We’re in a red state. Thankfully, our private school has been very accommodating and accepting (outside of some parents) but given the state we’re in, I heard her parents want to move to the East Coast and I can’t blame them. But we’ll lose a good student :(.

The biggest danger I see right now are nationalist evangelicals.
