    1. It was 2:43:15 AM when my dream of shooting the International Space Station in front of the moon finally came true!

After years of wanting this image, everything finally lined up – the ISS flew in front of the moon at a speed of 16,508 miles per hour, transiting the moon for merely 0.67 of a second.

      [I did a full write-up on the shot here, if you’re interested!](https://mikeab.kit.com/posts/i-finally-did-it?_gl=1*1rr3fi*_gcl_au*MTcyMTYwNzM5MC4xNzU4NDg1ODMxLjMyMjAxNjYxMi4xNzU4NDg1ODQwLjE3NTg0ODU4NDA.)

[Also, video of the transit here](https://photos.app.goo.gl/km8wzc3e9cwvQkpt9)

What I particularly like is that the moon actually looks spherical. Many pictures of the moon often appear very flat. Yours has spatiality, depth.
