      Interestingly, I’ve never seen discrimination like this against Russians, but when it comes to Jews or Israelis people become unhinged

      If you believe every citizen is responsible for actions of their government, then every person on gaza is responsible for actions of hamas.

      Is this even legal in Italy? In Germany, it would’ve been a pretty serious offense. Might be worth reporting the shop to the authorities.

      Russia is doing that in France for example.

      If you posted some czech pub that wrote on the blackboard „Ru**ians not welcome“, 90% of the sub would call it based, but when it comes to Israelis we have to be nuanced, and not everyone who is from Israel supports IDF or the government’s actions in Gaza.

      Everyone who is saying that citizens shouldn’t be held responsible for actions of their government needs to remember that a very very large majority Israeli citizens are inscripted into the IDF..

      Well Israel is democracy, Israelis elected people who commit genocide and there has been no revolution to stop that, so yes, Israelis are simply complicit in the genocide. It is though important to target Israelis, not Jews as many Jewish communities abroad condemn Israel’s genocide.
