But if he follows the trajectory, then there will be the banning of media and books that don’t follow his narrative. The selection of incompetent sycophants to powerful positions. The release of convicted criminals for political reasons. The deployment of armed troops against the civilian population. Then the focus of blame onto minorities who can’t defend themselves.

Too many Americans have been molded into anti-education zealots. They will not learn from a history they don’t know and never will. If it didn’t allegedly happen at the Alamo or if it isn’t a fable about one of the founding fathers, they have no clue. A country so powerful should not be filled with so many ignorant people. It must drive their smart folks crazy. I am just a dumbass Canadian that happened to pay attention in history class so from my perspective, we have Nazi’s in charge to the south. And if they’re not Nazi’s, explain how they are actually different than the MAGA folks.

The time for that was 10 months ago.

We should not let us be confused; whist condemning any form of political and non political violence an obviously disapproving Charly Kirk killing we should not make him „a Saint“ or a martyr. He was, by all means an extremist, a racist and an instigator to the very same violence which he ended up victim of. The way POTUS and MAGA try to make him a martyr makes me sick. The socio-political route which the US is undergoing under this presidency makes me highly concerned…

Inoculating us to gun violence generally was a bad move on their part, then, wasn’t it?  I stopped having an emotional reaction to gun violence since Sandy Hook.  People simply won’t be able to hold on to the rage for this.

Whether you compare it to the Reichstag fire, or to the assassination of Horst Wessel, it’s clear that Trump and his Lackeys will use this to repress dissent by the use of force. The big question is how must we respond.
