      Reminder that according to the Presidential Records Act of 1978, the federal government must preserve and archive all presidential correspondence (which also includes social media posts when it was amended back in 2014) and it means all those records belong to the public, not the president. It’s illegal for him to remove, delete, or destroy, the post unless he had explicit written permission from the archivist of the US.

      Hmm. Given that the Murdoch media empire has depended heavily on the first amendment to justify its blatant lies and distortions, I wonder if they are getting nervous about a future authoritarian media takeover where they can’t profit from outrage and controversy due to excessive censorship turning their content into the media equivalent of porridge.

      He wants these posts to disappear because someone smarter than him said the posts weaken his case should any of this ends up in the courts. His posts would be used to show his intent to eliminate his perceived political opponents.
