This administration is not going to want to see the data on hunger, with the economic policies, tariffs, and government agency cuts they’ve enacted creating consequences for Americans. This move achieves that.
It also does not want nonprofits, aid agencies and state governments to see that data. That compounds suffering–which does stir MAGA rich men’s nethers to half-staff, so that’s also a motivating factor.

If you don’t have empathy, you don’t care if people starve, even in your own country you claim to be a patriot of. Not giving a shit about other people is the MAGA way.

If they don’t track it, it’s not real, right!? Leads me to believe people are going to be starving soon.
We have a lot of really stupid people in this country. Examples:
Trump said immigrants were eating cats and dogs during a presidential debate and people still thought it was a good idea to vote for him.
He was held liable for rape; still had grown ass women and men with daughters vote for him like it was the best decision of their lives.
He is letting our farm industry dissolve, so large corporations can buy the land. 2/3 if farmers voted for Trump.
Why is anyone surprised that he doesn’t give a shit about hunger. I’m sorry but the mental acuity of this country is our biggest problem.

If you have that many starving citizens you have to ignore the data, you probably shouldn’t be building a golden, cheeto-stained ballroom.
