Zuvor habe ich diesen Clip von Prjames Ker Lindsay mit Soner Cagaptay und Direktor des Washington Institute for Nahe Ost -Politik gesehen. (Seine Doktorarbeit befand sich auf dem türkischen Nationalismus)
Ich fand es sehr informative Band, die ich viel über Ereignisse gelernt habe, von denen ich keine Kenntnis hatte, und auch die Psyche der meiner Meinung nach eine unordentliche Außenpolitik teilweise zu verstehen. Die starke Beziehung, die einst zwischen Griechenland und der Türkei gefördert wurde, war etwas, worüber ich mich nicht ausfiel.
Wenn jemand interessiert ist und Zeit hat, würde ich es empfehlen.

This is interesting but is hampered by an ‚invisible US‘ bias. They discuss the history of west Asia with very little examination of the Cold War and US hegemony. For example it skips over the coup against Erdogan without mentioning US involvement, the seige of Incirlik etc. It mentions Cyprus with no reference to US and Kissinger’s 1960s plans for partition and the role of the UK in fomenting partition. It fails to mention the Israel, US and Turkish promotion of ISIS to topple the regime in Syria.
However I learnt a lot about internal Turkish political history.
