Good. never made sense that we want a two state solution but we only recognise one of the two states.

And a dangerous step. It’s a knee jerk reaction from the government because of everything that is happening recently, but these decisions stick with you. You have to stand by them, forever. So now, we have recognized TWO countries who both want the same land… How do you pick a side then? Do you even pick a side? All this is going to do is make the idea of a two-state solution even more complicated.

I’m not saying it’s a bad thing and they shouldn’t do it and we shouldn’t care about Palestinians, but I’m saying there’s no right or wrong answer. We just need to be careful about blindly leaping into a decision without first considering the consequences. 5 years ago, Israel and Palestine was under everyone’s radar and people didn’t even care or think about Palestine until now. In 5 years time, will this issue even still exist, or will the status quo be restored again?
