Hamas is once again trying to find ways to stop the IDF from advancing into Gaza City. This time by hijacking UN aid and preventing it from reaching civilians, creating artificial shortages.

Two recent incidents highlight this: Hamas hijacked trucks carrying baby formula, and its fighters attacked UN workers who were opening a new aid route, then blocked the road after firing on them.

The UN itself reports that about 88% of its trucks [never reach their destination](https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/un-around-88-of-aid-trucks-collected-in-gaza-did-not-reach-destinations-due-to-looting-or-theft/) because Hamas and other groups loot them. Yet many critics focus on attacking the US and Israel backed GHF, even though it has already delivered nearly 200 million meals directly to Gazans successfully.

Hamas has also attempted to force Gazans to stay as human shields and not evacuate, while their officials themselves [are fleeing the combat zone](https://www.timesofisrael.com/as-hamas-urges-gazans-to-stay-put-its-leaders-are-trying-to-flee-strip-says-israel/) according to the IDF orders.

Can Hamas manage to recruit enough international support to put pressure on the IDF to stop it’s advancement through such tactics? Or are these the desperate acts of a terror organization about to receive a death blow?

Will international media outside of Israel report on these hijackings and the tactics Hamas employ? Or will the focus by western nations and leaders, especially European ones, continue to be solely on Israel, exactly as Hamas intends it to be?
