A lot of people online are saying Kimmel called the shooter Republican, he didn’t, he just pointed out how Republicans including the US president was trying to portray him as left leaning before they even knew who the shooter was. A US president should call for calm and Trump was immediately inciting people to be angry.
Many say Kimmel isn’t entitled to a TV show, ofcourse he isn’t that’s not why his show is suspended.
Some I am surprised to say cite Kimmel’s declining ratings as justification for cancelling him. This is not a valid reason whatsoever but it would be justified by a studio as a reason but obviously not why this happened.
Kimmel is a late night chat show host, IT IS HIS JOB TO SATIRIZE the news every night this is what all people in his position have done for years and it represents a great foundation of the freedom of the media. If you feel he’s unfairly targeting Trump you are simply wrong it’s because Trump every single week it’s making headlines at like x50 times the rate of Obama, x20 the rate of Biden, x10 rate of W.Bush!
