„you made us commit crimes against humanity“ is a lame ass excuse used by both sides

    2. Low_Technician_5034 on

Keep up with this bs and the less empathy a lot of people will have with your „free plaestaine“ rumblings.

    3. I don’t undersrand why people would choose sides at all in this conflict.

    4. I think this is supposed to be a pro-Palestine message but I’m not quite sure. Surely if they wanted to pick an arbitrary date to fit their narrative about this conflict they wouldn’t have picked the one where a newly created country was simultaneously attacked by all of its neighbours seeking to destroy it? Like, try picking 1920 or even 1947 instead. These people really aren’t great with history lmao

    5. Accepting civilians shouldn’t be killed, without double standards: impossible.

Hahaha imagine the mindset of the people downvoting this comment. „waaaaa noooo it’s actually totally cool for US to kill civilians, not the other side!!!“ Zero ethical awareness.

    6. The Nakhba term has been completely changed in its meaning.

While nowadays it refers to the eviction of Palestinian from their land, it was originally counted by Arabs thinkers to refer to as the Great shame of the Arabs army losing against the „inferior“ enemy during the independence war.

The Palestinians and after than the Pan Arabs confederacy took their shot and lost. Multiple time. Leading to two entrenched brainwashed population that cannot start to think on how to progress. The Palestinians being used and abused by every Arab nation to push their agenda and then by corrupt leaders more interested in lining their pocket than the wellbeing of the population is a tragedy.

Obviously the conflict started way before 48 with the Brits putting oil in fire. Arab population sieging Jewish population and trying to genocide them, Jewish paramilitary doing the same locally and general non native Jewish immigration causing strain in the already difficult local living arrangements.

It does not change that current Israeli response has gone way past proportional response to 7 Oct.

It is however interesting to see how Egypt managed to wash their hand of the conflict after literally creating the Gaza strip and it’s enclaving and forcing Israel to accept governance of it unti the 90s.

The 1948 Arab–Israeli War, also known as the First Arab–Israeli War, followed the civil war in Mandatory Palestine as the second and final stage of the 1948 Palestine war. The civil war became a war of separate states with the Israeli Declaration of Independence on 14 May 1948, the end of the British Mandate for Palestine at midnight, and the entry of a military coalition of Arab states into the territory of Mandatory Palestine the following morning. The war formally ended with the 1949 Armistice Agreements which established the Green Line.

If you’re going to go back to 1948 instead of October 7 then you also need to go much further back than that

The main reason I fucking despise the Palestinian movement is the absolute refusal to take responsibility for ANYTHING

    10. Broad_Clerk_5020 on

Great way to shift the blame from the horrors committed on Oct 7… i must say though, hamas’ propaganda has been very effective

    11. This sign actually managed to make Israelis and Palestinians agree on something. Both will say it’s stupid because a lot happened before 1948.

By the peaceful foundation of Israel that was coordinated with the league of Nations and after its foundation the arab league attacked immediately….

    13. Nuclear-Jester on

We could discuss about history or methaporical concepts for days. Or we could arknowledge Israelian politicians are openly calling for genocide and that their rethoric isn’t that different from Hamas‘ these days

You can be horrified by both October 7th and the daily news coming out from Gaza and the West Bank

    14. CmdrJemison on

Oh yea I remember. Israel was founded and offered a 2 state solution, but several Arab states refused and declared war on Israel, cause they wanted a 1 state solution and Israel being extinguished.

Israel defended itself and took some of their territory.

Fair game after Arabs and Ottomans occupied Israel for centuries.

I mean sure I know what I am talking about.

At the Balkans people managed to fight Ottomans back after 500 years of terror ottoman occupation.

    15. >The Palestinians‘ Arab Higher Committee rejected the Partition Resolution and any kind of Jewish state and refused to negotiate with „the Zionist Project.“ Over the next few days, contingents of four of the seven countries of the Arab League at that time, Egypt, Iraq, Transjordan, and Syria, invaded the former British Mandate of Palestine and fought the Israelis. They were supported by the Arab Liberation Army and corps of volunteers from Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Yemen. The Arab armies launched a simultaneous offensive on all fronts: Egyptian forces invaded from the south, Jordanian and Iraqi forces from the east, and Syrian forces invaded from the north.

It’s true, the war against Israel started that day. And since then they have beaten their neighbors and their CCCP supporters again and again, first alone and later in the 70s with help.

      Now let the downvotes rain.

I’ve never heard of a Jew stabbing someone in Europe out of hatred or religious fanaticism. Think about it.

    18. People who put this there are probably very young and have recently learned about the conflict. Almost noone thinks Israel – Palestine troubles started 7-10-2023, the ones who did were surprised enough to put this bullshit sign up. It’s Dunning – Kruger in practice, people learn a tiny bit about a subject and suddenly think they’re qualified to lecture others about it.

      Red hand symbol, check
      Historical revisionism, check
Name a date when it all supposedly began, even though the population has since multiplied like nowhere else in the world, check.

    20. HairlessBiker on

At least they’re honest. Palestinians never believed in the 2 state solution.

    21. While the current conflict originates in 1947-8, the residents of the territory between the Mediterranean and Jordan have had documented problems with their neighbours and each other for millenia (although contrary to Scripture, archaeological evidence indicates the Hebrews arose naturally within Canaanite tribes and didn’t undertake a genocidal campaign of Conquest).

    22. BranchMoist9079 on

You mean the ethnic cleansing of almost all Jews from Muslim-majority countries?

    23. damnhotteapot on

Whatever your opinion of Israel/Palestine, the bloody hand symbol refers to the events of October 12, 2000, when two reservists were lynched by a massive mob in Ramallah, West Bank, after they made a wrong turn in the Palestinian Authority-controlled region. Not the best way to gain sympathy.
