    1. There was never really a success state for Israel or Gaza, the best they could hope for is reducing Hamas’s capability then a return to the status quo.

    2. When we saw that his government was in some of the worst trouble it’s ever been in, people were joking around saying stuff like ‚quick, blame Israel for something instead of doing anything at home.‘ Didn’t think it was his actual strat

They’ve neutered Hezbollah (which impacted the Syrian civil war, and Lebanon), have significantly weakened Hamas, and shown that they can have air superiority over Iran at will. The war may be shattering Israel’s image but I don’t think the offensive can really be called a failure considering the weakening of both Hamas and Hezbollah.

It’s been a PR failure for sure, and that’s largely due to how western media have presented the situation in Gaza for the last year.

Militarily it’s been a huge success for Israel.

    5. Middle East is a place with few mini-russias that behave the same. Israel responded with force when challenged. It’s image maybe shattered, but in Iran or Syria there is an understand that there will be response. Even Isis did not try to engage Israel, it was not worth it.

Currently European counties are viewed as weak, their leaders are indecisive and economies, especially in France, are shaky. Macron is suing Owens for calling his wife a man. You can hate Netanyahu and all his politics, but under his orders Israel cleared skies over Iran using newest planes and drones and then got the US to bomb nuclear facilities with probably most powerful bunker-busting bombs.

Russia has been under sanctions for more than 3 years and is doing fine. It’s collapsing economically. It survived without McDonalds and has found an unlimited market to sell its oil and gas.

Macron simply does not understand what it’s like to be on the verge of annihilation over and over again for thousands of years.

Also, Israel is winning. Macron is delusional.

    7. Lowkey one of the more darkly humourous things from this nightmare after October 7th…is watching Netanyahu expose his shortsightedness on a global scale. He was „Mr. tough guy“ on National Security – and the biggest attack in generations has occured on his watch , it’s been exposed several times over the last two years that he has kept the war ongoing for his own personal political livelihood, his security apparatus views him as a liability, he has shredded the reputation of his country globally ….and he has now thrown himself and by extension Israel with the same antisemitic far right lot in the Patriots.eu voting bloc.

      dude sucks lol.

They’ve shattered Israel’s image on a political sense, but most CERTAINLY not on a military/espionage sense. In fact, if anything, it’s increased.

It’s very rare that real life mimics or even surpasses what you’d expect to see in a movie.

From a political standpoint Macron may be worried about the war’s aftermath, with a destroyed Gaza and taking over more and more of the West Bank it may be hard for Israel to normalize relations with Middle Eastern countries and hard for countries in general to have normal relations with Israel.

Importantly, their’s no plan or rational probability for an after war scenerio with peace between the two populations, also, after the war is over new elections would likely force out Benjamin Netanyahu and he has pending corruption charges against him, he has good cause to not stop the war, lest he be imprisioned.

I would call it a massive success. They effectively destroyed the war making abilities of all their enemies while suffering minimal casualties. They will get rid of Hamas in short order and reduce the terrorist threat within their territory immensely. The world already hated Jews. Their image wasn’t great to begin with. Macron should focus on his own problems. Like how about that war in Ukraine and that Putin guy wrecking havoc on your continent.

Sorry, we care more about counterterrorism than a bad image from antisemites

I can’t disagree. I think it’s be obvious to anyone with a brain that any offensive Gaza would be doomed from the jump to be littered with civilian casualties. That’s what Hamas wanted. And Israel gave it to them.

It’s a sunk cost at this point. Their „image“ isn’t going to improve if they leave.

Oh please, like the French ever held the Jews in any regard. They were the first ones to gladly load Jews on trains in 1940

Mark my words: Macron’s next job will somehow have something to do with Qatar. He really is the David Beckham of politics and that’s not a compliment.

Europe was anti-Israel and/or antisemitic before the war, their unchanged opinion now is hardly noteworthy. Might as well mention that the Islamic world dislikes current events as well.

    17. People with above room temp iq: Macron’s populism encourages hamas to keep fighting thus kills Gazans. Also, calling the fact that the enemies of Israel lay decimated a „failure“ is very franch…
