If you want to know why American politics is in such shit shape it’s because it’s heavily influenced by the American media. Every politician plays for the camera, thinking they’re some half assed TV star. The perfect environment for a Trump-like figure to emerge in.
Boring politics = thoughtful politics.

If anyone expected drama, they don’t really know Carney. He’s clear not interested in partisan politics. He handled PP very well. PP was clearly frustrated that his usual attack dog politics isn’t working. He looked foolish.

I sure hope the Conservatives are forced into a more productive role. This populist nonsense causes issues and solves nothing. PP asks his same question over and over and if he gets an answer he just switches it slightly. There is no scenario where any answer is good enough as it just gives him more fodder. The questions are simply platitudes anyway so there is no actual answer.

The Conservative leaders are in a tough spot. To get the job as leader they have to appease the small loud but powerful minority on the far side of the spectrum. Once they have the job they have to try and appeal to the rest of the country who does not buy that shtick.
PP has to stick to this failed script now to try and save his job as leader.
