He could poll at 1%. He’s still got a massive parliamentary majority for the next 4 years. Polls mean virtually nothing right now.

I’m not sure you can describe it as a crisis when it doesn’t mean anything

At this point it could drop to 0% and it wouldn’t matter, until MPs start doing something public opinion really doesn’t matter

They needed to be a left wing party, they decided just to be more Tories! 

Keeping in mind it is Find Out Now who have a pretty unique way of polling compared to the other pollsters. Not wrong per se, but it just analyses things in a way where more motivated political demographics tend to be represented more than more ambivalent ones. Reform has a more motivated voter base so they show up strongly in their polls.

I think they’re good polls for seeing which parties have the most on board and motivated voter bases but not necessarily accurate in terms of what would happen in an election.

The result is 100% predictable to anyone who watched the US election:

-a bland middle-of-the-road leader who tinkers around the edges of an economy which is quickly impoverishing the majority.

-turning a blind eye to and offering olive branches to fascism and oligarchy among the far right, who have nothing but contempt for him anyway.

-all while horrifying his own base by inexplicably supporting genocide,

He’s repeating all the same mistakes as Biden (except being old), and I can’t tell if he’s genuinely stupid enough to be surprised the outcome is the same or is a plant who genuinely wants to lose.

The truth is Labour are between a rock and a hard place. The country itself is facing massive issues, we only have 24 million full time workers, an ageing population, and our three biggest expenses are pensions, NHS and benefits. it also looks like by 2030 , 1 in 13 people will be economically inactive. 

And on the flip side we have Reform who are promising the world if the pesky issue of immigration is handled (even though their economic policies don’t really add up). Perfect storm really.

At some point we’re going to have to face up and accept cuts or tax rises. But no party is willing to really speak openly in this manner to the public, and I don’t think the people of this country are anchored in reality which is also a huge issue

People are too stupid to see that voting Reform is a huge mistake

I don’t know why they are surprised. What did they think would happen when they decided to do exactly the opposite of what people expect from a Labour government? They have been trying to go after Reform voters who are never going to vote for them and completely alienated the people who gave them a huge majority. A majority they seem scared to use to actually do anything with. They don’t need to please the anti immigration brigade, it’s 4 years until the next election. They need to focus on making things better in the country so that when it comes to the next election people don’t feel they need to blame immigrants anymore.

Looking at this, yes it’s very low numbers for Labour, but also this is the most split the UK has ever been. There are now 5 serious parties in a system designed for 2.

Once they sort the terrorists and rapists coming freely every day in the country through the boats and assylum hotels their approval rates should go back to some decent percentages

Labour turned out to be just as authoritarian and worthless as all the rest. I really think we are all doomed in the systems we have created.

So many people refusing to accept reality.

Politics has nothing to do with Policies anymore, it is all about putting on a show.

You might hate it, you might say its wrong, but the truth is and it has been like this for many years now, people only care about about soundbites.

Boris Johnson is the perfect example of this.

The man was completely out of his depth, was arguably the most unsuitable person to be PM but not only did he win, still to this day many people would gladly have him back.

Why, he had a Personality, he was Charming, he had Charisma. He spent years building an imagine for himself with the sole aim to become PM and it worked perfectly because he knew what people wanted.

This is the age of Social Media. People have 5 minute attention spans.

If you can’t break through the noise then nothing else matters.

Starmer has all the Charisma and Personality of tin of beige paint. His PR team is well aware of how poorly he comes across that is why they do everything they can to limit his interactions with the Press and especially the public.

You can argue as much as you like about Policies but its irrelevant if nobody is listening.

Boris, Trump, Farage etc.. all of them are vile human beings who are only interested in progressing their own fortune yet they have a following who will support them to the end of time.

Labour need to find somebody who is able to appeal to the voter, somebody who is charismatic, dynamic, somebody who is warm and has some humour.

I have always voted labour. I have quite often felt kinda screwed over by the Tories. I absolutely feel screwed over by starmer. I’m convinced he’s a Tory plant designed to completely screw the Labour Party into the ground.

Oh no guess it’s gonna be bad for them in the up coming… Election…. Wait…. Yeah…. Soo…. Pffffttt…..

I honestly am just preparing for a reform government at this point. 4 years is a long time but Labour have already proven themselves to be a party that appeals to no voters. The right won’t vote for them coz they’re not hard-line on enough issues the right cares about. They’re not appealing to the left due to the social stuff like cutting benefits to the disabled and poor and also engaging in transphobic identity politics, among other things. The centrists will vote for LibDem who appeal to them more so. Who votes for labour? I can’t even guarantee I will- the Greens are looking actually appealing now.
