Canada should have rejected all of Tesla’s submissions that did not meet the letter of the law. Why are you submitting for a rebate THREE years later? The law says you can’t do that.
Tesla didn’t follow the rules, they should get nothing.
Least shocking piece of news for anyone who knew how to program actually worked. Requesting rebates wasn’t just a „trust be bro“ situation. you needed a bill of sale and a VIN. Sure they could have in theory forged thousands of bills of sale, but not in the time that it all happened. and I’m not even sure how/if VINs can be faked. Building a bot? Much easier.
