Jon Stewart geht nervös gegen Jimmy Kimmel Suspension in ‚Daily Show‘ Return | Der Host von ‚The Daily Show‘ kehrte am Donnerstag zum Nachrichtenschalter zurück und machte einen ziemlich ungewöhnlichen Takt, um den konservativen Rückschlag zu Kimmels Monolog zu verspotten.

This headline is shit. He was pretending to be nervous and the word is tack, not tact.

    2. He wasn’t nervous. This was done on purpose to get his point across. Please adjust your headline because he did a brilliant job.

The actual article headline uses „tack“ not tact.

Anyone using „tact“ in this context likely says shit like „mute point“ or „tow the line“.

    4. Unusual? It’s literally the point of the daily show. Only conservatives don’t know they’re the butt of the fucking joke after 20 years

    5. Each of them “tackled Kimmel’s suspension” by claiming fealty to Trump. The sarcasm in their delivery is notable, but this wasn’t any of the Last Late-Night Men Standing showing courage. The opposite, really. It was them signaling their support of Kimmel without actually doing that or opposing what led to his “suspension.”

You’ve gotta wonder if there is AI watching the Daily Show and not getting the joke

    7. Don’t try and spin bullshit, his monologue Fought for our first Ammendment Rights.

Conservative blowback over CK is due to the administration’s propagandization of the horrific murder.

If it was sincere, the WH would have gone after all the other politically motivated killings in the past 6 months.

This is why it is disingenuine.

Jesus wept is that the actual headline? It’s tack, not tact amongst other failures of language and thought.

      Hahaha „nervously“ hahahaha (snort) hahahaha.
      Yeah, that’s what happened.

Hollywood Reporter editors: it’s tack, not tact. It’s a sailing term and it means a change of direction.

Did people really not get that he was making a point, that it was an act?

    12. The joke was not very subtle. Not a single person watching would think he was actually groveling to Trump. It was pretty effective i thought.

I loved it. Using satire to combat fascism is a pro move. It’s why I secretly wish Colbert had never stopped doing the Colbert Report.

Was anybody else bored with the bit after the first few minutes?

I love Jon but I don’t know maybe I turned it off too early.

Can jon, jimmy and stephen summon george carlin like captain planet and form like voltron to take down this administration? Silly i know, but everything else is batshyt crazy maybe we need some batshyt crazy ideas…

    16. OP wishes he had a degree in journalism cause this headline is shite and people like OP is why our country is where it’s at, just mislead everything and question nothing. Journalist these days in this country are actually pathetic

    17. „nervously“? Nothing was nervous there. This was precise satire. And sadly this is what Trump and co. want TV in the US to be: more like North Korea. Is hazard a guess that if you ask Trump directly „do you want the TV here to be like North Korea“ he’ll say yes.

Framing it as “nervously” is basically saying he was cowardly which is intentional because MAGA will read it as Jon Stewart and the Dems are weak if they knew how to read

Whoever wrote that headline didn’t get the bit
