Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello said security forces intercepted a speedboat in the waters off Falcón state on September 14, carrying 100 sacks of cocaine and 2,400 liters of fuel. The operation, which Cabello described as „clean,“ ended with five arrests. The detainees were identified as Joel Luis Rodríguez Ramos, Jesús Antonio Quilarte Carreño, Jhonny José Salazar Gutiérrez, Carlos Alberto Bravo Lemus, and Levi Enrique López, who Cabello alleged is linked to the DEA.According to Cabello, the detainees confessed the shipment was part of a „false flag operation“ designed to incriminate Venezuela in international drug trafficking and justify external aggression. „The four detainees are saying they work for the DEA,“ Cabello told state television, calling the alleged plan a „maneuver for destabilization.“

Not sure if I belueve this. Let’s wait till we hear from Trump about it. If he says its false, than we will know its true.

Even if the false flag is fake, capturing drug runners to show evidence of drugs is sort of normal. Dropping multiple missiles on a boat from hundreds of meters above is Trump’s evidence of drugs instead of actual drugs

Four detainees caught in Venezuela and all claim to work for the DEA? Mmmmm, idk about that one. Not necessarily impossible either.

All these US gov agencies have internal corrupt groups that keep the cycle going. Sometimes they get caught, but quickly dismissed or forgotten.

It would be kinda funny if the whole thing is the CIA once again using drugs to fund their dastardly schemes and selling people out for national propoganda
OMG! Surely Trumpistan would not stoop so low as to undermine other governments in the Americas. It’s not like a Republican president would deliberately involve the US in the illicit drug trade (for instance with a rebel group like the Contras).

On one hand, Venezuela is untrustworthy.
On the other hand, the U.S. is untrustworthy and that is straight out of their playbook.

Linked to the DEA =/= „DEA Agent“
That being said, I wouldn’t put it past the this U.S. administration to plan something like that.
I also wouldn’t put it past Maduro to have had some of his people convince these guys that that’s who they were driving the boat for.
None of that changes the fact that we shouldn’t be blowing up boats indiscriminately in International Waters. They can be boarded, we used to do it that way.

I’m not going to blindly believe anything that comes from the Venezuelan government. But it certainly sounds like something the DEA/Trump Admin would be doing right now given that Venezuela isn’t actually responsible for more than a drop in a rainfall of the narcotics that get smuggled into the US.

It’s hard to select a side in something like this. False flag operations aren’t far-fetched if you look through history and Venezuela’s current regime is far less than trustworthy.
There are motivations for both.

HEY! Have some decorum!
In America we just disregard law and rules of engagement and murder these kinds of guys in international water using drones [and then have our Vice President brag and laugh about.](https://www.the-independent.com/news/world/americas/us-politics/jd-vance-venezuela-drug-boat-strikes-b2828675.html)
