Are there still any people in the US pretending/believing things are normal?

Guys this is bad, but isn’t quite what the headline implies. They were arrested at a protest. DHS didn’t nab them out of the blue or at the airport.

They shouldn’t have been arrested that said.

When are we going to DC to march? I am retired, have nothing to do, and am ready!

Most Americans and most individuals from 20-40 do not involve themselves in politics and rather just focus on getting through the day. So many of my peers claim to be A-politcal and ignore everything… But even now I’ll hear a complaint and its like ‚wHy DiDnT yOu VoTe?!“ And it’s always “ ThEy ArE BoTh ThE sAmE“

Good on those Democrats for being willing to face arrest protesting immigration injustice. If more of the party would do things like this we might have prevented a lot more.

The Democratic Party is going to be designated a terrorist organization by drumph. I’m not being hyperbolic. This is the path we’re on.

Are we still pretending it’s the left that’s causing violence? Or are we still allowing a national gaslighting movement to pretend the left is responsible for political violence (even though the Trump attempted shoo*** was a Republican and there is no evidence this Charlie k. Shoo*** was a leftist other than the *republican* claiming it wasn’t his party but the other side), when you have Trump in office doing this sort of violence

These are the politicians actually trying to lead a resistance, showing the people what they should be doing.

While the rest of the country sits around not sure what to do, these politicians are putting some skin in the game and using their elected privilege to demonstrate to the public how to protest this fascist regime. Sooner or later politicians doing this will be sent to a “detention (concentration) facility” for their disruptions and political beliefs, so people ought to take advantage of having these leaders around while they still can. Especially given most all of Congress and the Democrat establishment has turned coward.

Cowardly politicians, who, have been saying “the people” need to resist, insinuating but never leading on anything, all while asking for more donations. The people have been clamoring for someone to show them how to resist. And now a fair amount of politicians are trying to show everyone how. Take advantage of them while you can, Americans.

Kirk will be their Horst Wessel and shit is just beginning. This is bad. Really bad.

Something’s got to be done about these brazen fascist fucksticks, will it get to the point where we have to fight?

I hope at least the rest of the world is taking notes of what happens when the far-right takes over. Say bye bye to democracy.

There’s a really good point to be made here about the hypocrisy of the whole weaponizing the justice department rally cry we all heard when Trump, an actual convicted criminal, was being arrested and tried for crimes he committed according to evidence presented and a jury of his peers, but honestly, what’s the fucking point anymore? They’re not going to stop until we live in a one party, authoritarian state, and there’s not a single fucking democrat that’s tried or possibly even capable of rallying the voters to the extreme degree and way he did.

I remember a time when law enforcement respected and almost feared Congress. Now, they all have a „we have the guns and you don’t, so stfu“ mentality.

MODS: I am referring to the executive branch controlling law enforcement, which is the armed government agents, as opposed to Congress who have none.
