      I foresee another exodus to the sweet potato app.

      I’m actually really curious how quickly they shift the TikTok algorithm over to fashy agitprop.

      Since besides switching from CCP spying on you to the US government spying on you, another big difference is China learned the lesson early on that an algorithm that pushes products is more engaging than an algorithm that pushes podcasts.

      And it’s kind of why their apps crush so hard with young people.

      They made sure to flood it with the Gaza horrors with the algorithm flooding and boosting with bot farms- then came in with the ADL’ spokesperson about the “horrors of losing the youth” and resulted in this.  These people are schemers and play the long game until it works in their favour.

      Pretty sure the reason for the freak out is because the Chinese government might ask tiktok to provide information about its users, as opposed to every other American app, which just flat out sells your data without hiding it
