In what world is this an offense worthy of being fired?
He didn’t condone Kirk’s death. He condemned the violence itself multiple times. He’s just pointing out that the blame game and villainization started from the White House before Kirk’s body was even cold.
How does anyone claim to support free speech and also support this administration? How can you with a straight face?
This is straight up censorship. Trump is using Kirk’s assassination to ram through an authoritarian agenda, like Bush post-9/11 with the Patriot Act.
I’ve never even been a Jimmy Kimmel fan, I think Colbert and Stewart are funnier than him, but this is insane.

He had a trans girlfriend, he wrote (among other things) „UWU“ on a bullet, and (and I can’t stress this enough) he murdered someone who speaks to almost all of the right wing things that MAGA are alligned with.
I have never supported cancel culture, so not commenting on his firing here, but calling that killler „MAGA“ is fucking absurd.

Jimmy Kimmel would have celebrated the censorship of others for saying things half as inflammatory.
I don’t know his contract but I’m guessing they are using this as a pretext for his firing. Maybe ratings were down, maybe advertisers were upset, maybe they just want to change formats from an already archaic type of show. I’m guessing this is less to do with what he said in more with an excuse

Late night died with Conan. Nothing of value was lost. None of you watch his show and not a single person you know watches it either.
And just after that, he talked about how the president was grieving….cuts to the clip where Trump is asked how he is holding up and he says “ I think very good, and if you look over there you see all the trucks….“ changing the subject to the ballroom construction. Pointing out how Trump really doesn’t care about Charlie Kirk or anyone else. This all just seems like typical late night TV. I dont see the problem but welcome to our one party autocratic oligarchy…we may not be able to vote our way out of this.

I’m sorry, but if the networks are truly that scared of the FCC that’s on them. Networks and shows have fought the FCC before in court. You see none of that here, so chances are the heads of the network wanted to cancel the show and used this as an excuse. Does nobody remember Eminem, or George Carlin? The real conspiracy is that they canceled these shows to sow more division.
